Alaska Coin Exchange Presents
Certified Half Dollars
for your consideration:
| 1808/7 Capped Bust Half Dollar ICG MS-62 | |
| Description: Nice coin with a clear overdate. Overton-101. The second and final year of the original capped bust design with the taller thinner bust of Liberty. The design was substantially modified in 1809 to make Miss Liberty noticeably shorter and plumper. | |

|
| 1826 Capped Bust Half Dollar ICG MS-62 | |
| Description: Bright white and frosty. Very clean and mark free. Only a bit of strike weakness at the tip of the bust on the obverse and the word Pluribus on the reverse account for the grade not being MS-64 or better. | |

|
| 1835 Capped Bust Half Dollar PCI MS-62 | |
| Description: Even very light gold color over lustrous surfaces. | |

|
| 1837 Reeded Edge Capped Bust Half Dollar ICG MS-63 | |
| Description: Early mint state half. Good luster under light tone. The strike is super, especially on the obverse. | |

|
| 1838 Reeded Edge Capped Bust Half Dollar SEGS MS-63 (MS-62) | |
| Description: I like reeded edge halves a lot. They are much scarcer than the lettered edge halves, which were hoarded in huge quantities at the time of issue. This is a very decent specimen, and grades a full MS-63+ or better with the exception of a small planchet flaw just past the second 8 in the date. This is a mint made flaw which really does not affect the technical grade, though it does affect the price. SEGS graded this coin MS-63, and I am net grading it to MS-62, and selling it for exactly half of the MS-63 price. Nice original coin with a sharp strike, and bargain priced. | |

|
| 1845-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar SEGS MS-64 | |
| Description: The 1845-O half dollar is a complex issue with eight significant varieties available in addition to normal coins. This particular issue is the WB-108 variety which displays a nicely recut date. This particular coin is a fairly early die state for the variety with strong drapery visible under Miss Liberty's arm. On later die states, this drapery fades and eventually disappears. The strike is quite sharp, which is normal for an 1845-O half. Visually, the obverse is mostly yellow but also has gold and other colors in evidence. Below the date and to the left of it is an area of green tone. The reverse is a beautiful gold with blue near the rims. Wiley and Bugert, authors of the current reference on seated Liberty halves give this variety a rarity rating of R7+ in Mint State condition, indicating that between 4 and 6 pieces are estimated to exist in all MS grades. | |

|
| 1856 Seated Liberty Half Dollar SEGS MS-64 | |
| Description: Sharply struck. The obverse is a medium blue-gray and the reverse is gold and gray. Surfaces are mark free. | |

|
| 1863 Seated Liberty Half Dollar ICG Proof-64 | |
| Description: This is a case where you are better off looking at the scan of the coin rather than having me try to describe it. The best I can do is say that on the obverse, the portrait is largely untoned, the fields are mostly greenish and there is gold color near the rim. The reverse is mostly a light gold except for an area of blue to the lower left of the eagle. This is why I like toned coins - each one is unique! A desirable no motto issue with an original mintage of only 460 pieces, a lower mintage than any of the with motto issues. | |

|
| 1873 Seated Liberty Half Dollar NGC Proof-65 | |
| Description: No arrows. Closed 3 variety, as are all no arrows 1873 Proof halves. Mintage was a slim 600 pieces. The obverse is mostly an orange-gold color with blue at the rims. There is a small spot by Miss Liberty's elbow. The reverse is really stunning with great mirrors and definite cameo contrast. The reverse is essentially white in the central area with some burnt orange near the rim and traces of blue at the rim. A date popularized by coin dealer Harry X. Boosel several decades ago. | |

|
| 1883 Seated Liberty Half Dollar PCI Proof-66 | |
| Description: A real gem with essentially flawless surfaces. No imperfections visible without magnification. The color is a medium smoke gray color, and it is not hazy. Super strike of course. As usual, it looks better in person than it does in the scan. The obverse is not black as it appears, and the speckling on the reverse is not particularly noticeable. The 1883 is one of the better dates of the series, with a mintage of 8000 business strikes and 1039 Proofs. This is certainly one of the finest remaining of the Proofs. | |

|
| 1894 Barber Half Dollar NGC Proof-65 Cameo | |
| Description: Original mintage of 972 pieces. Bright white with great mirrors. Just a trace of gold around the rim. There is a scratch on the slab (not the coin) over the right field. | |

|
| 1894-S Barber Half Dollar PCI MS-64 | |
| Description: One of the more available of the early dates in Mint State condition, but still far scarcer than most of the 1900's issues. The obverse has some light gold, and the reverse is essentially white. A well above average specimen with clean surfaces and flashy luster. | |

|
| 1907-O Barber Half Dollar ICG MS-65 | |
| Description: Nice goldish orange obverse. The reverse is light gold in the central area, turning to orange in the lettering, ending in blue at the rim. Good luster. | |

| 1908 Barber Half Dollar PCI MS-64 | |

|
| 1908 Barber Half Dollar PCGS Proof-65 | |
| Description: One of the lower mintage dates for the series, with 545 originally struck. The obverse is a light grayish - blue. The reverse has some light tan. | |

|
| 1910 Barber Half Dollar PCI MS-64 | |
| Description: Very clean, light gold Barber half. Excellent luster. Fifth lowest mintage of the entire Barber half series with only 418,551 originally made. Considering that Barber halves were not saved in great quantities when they were issued, you know this is a scarce coin. | |
