Encased Hawaii State Quarters!
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hawaii statehood, we have produced two versions of encased Hawaii state quarters:
2008 Hawaii State Quarter encased in aluminum ring
2008 Hawaii State Quarter encased in brass ring
This is a limited mintage issue! Only 400 of the brass encasements were produced, and 2000 of the aluminum encasements. No more will ever be made, and when they are sold out, that's it! The brass version will sell very fast - the brass encased Alaska quarters sold out in a week, with refunds issued for over 500 customers who ordered them after the sellout.
The aluminum encased 50th Anniversary Hawaii State quarter is priced at $1.50 each. There is no order limit on these.
The brass encased 50th Anniversary Hawaii State quarter is priced at $6.00 each. There is a limit of 5 of the brass encased Hawaii Statehood quarters per address.

Encased Alaska State Quarters!
There are two designs available, and each design exists with either an aluminum ring or a brass ring....
This first design is not for sale, but they will be given away for free to customers who place large orders through the Alaska Coin Exchange website:
Any order over $100 (excluding shipping costs) will receive the aluminum Greetings From Alaska encased State Quarter.
Any order over $500 (excluding shipping costs) will receive the brass Greetings From Alaska encased State Quarter.
Multiple orders may not be combined to reach these levels.

This is a limited edition issue! There were 1,750 of the aluminum encasements made and only 250 of the brass encasements made. This design will not be used again, and no more will be produced.

We also have stickered Alaska State Quarters. These are both for sale and a freebie. Any order received on or after December 20th, 2008, for an amount of $25 or more excluding postage, will receive one of these stickered Alaska state quarters. They may also be purchased below. There is no mintage limit on these.

So, would you like to see my original sketches for the encased quarters? Don't laugh, I can't draw to save my life! Stick figures are a challenge for me.
These are the actual sketches that I emailed to Penny Press Mint to be converted into the dies to make the encased Alaska quarters!
