Flashy and near white. There are
die polishing lines on the reverse. The mintage is estimated at 700
pieces. Breen lists two varieties for this year, and this coin is the
first variety which is described as having a spine from Miss Liberty's
throat into the field. Could this be a misplaced date in the form of the
top serif of a number 1 punch?
